2026 Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting Event
Hampton Beach comes alive each summer with one of the most unique and exciting events in New England: the 26th Annual Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic. From June 18-20, 2026, visitors will have the chance to witness incredible sand artistry as talented sculptors compete for a share of a $25,000 prize purse and various awards, including the People’s Choice and Sculptor’s Choice.
What to Expect at the Sand Sculpting Event
The fun kicks off when 200 tons of imported sand are delivered to Hampton Beach and the legendary “Grady Bunch” begins building the massive Sponsor Site. For days leading up to the competition, visitors can watch Greg Grady and his team create a mammoth Sand Demo Site, with the area illuminated for night viewing through June 28, 2026.

Weds., June 17: Masters pound up and Sponsor Sculpture viewing

Second Place: $4,000
Third Place: $3,000
Fourth Place: $2,000
People’s Choice: $1,000
Non-placing competitors: $1,500
Sculptor’s Choice Award: prestige-only, no monetary prize
Sat., June 20, 1:00–3:00 PM: Voting for People’s Choice Award
Sat., June 20, 7:30 PM: Awards Ceremony on the Sea Shell Stage
Sat., June 20, 9:30 PM: Special Fireworks Display
